TelepART-Art Funding programme helps emerging performing artists showcase their work internationally. The fast-access funding supports the mobility, international networking and the art-community between Finland and Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The TelepART-Art programme is intended especially for emerging talents within theatre, performance, circus, dance and music. Performing artists living and working in Finland and travelling to German-speaking Europe for performances, and vice versa, are free to apply for funding.

The funding programme enables artists to react quickly to work opportunities. The TelepART funding can be used for travel, accommodation and transportation expenses. Grants will only be considered for projects where the organiser, performer and their representatives are committed to the production. Applicants must be able to demonstrate high artistic value, the production must be a collaboration between at least two of the countries, where the Finnland-Institut is active, and the performer(s) must receive a decent compensation for their work. The maximum amount that can be applied for is 1000€ and the grant can cover at most 50% of all costs. The applicant can be the artist, a representative of the artist or the event organiser.

The Finnland-Institut makes the grant decisions with the support of the expert performing arts organisations Circus & Dance Info Finland and the Finnish Theatre Information Centre (TINFO).

Returning applicants: Please note, that we can accept applications from the same person only every other year.

Awarding criteria

The application will be evaluated by the following criteria:
– Artistic/academic merit
– The significance of the funding for the receiver’s professional and artistic activities
– The amount of funding applied for and the budget balance
– The impact of the project on the quality and quantity of cultural/academic exchange between Finland and Germany, Austria or Switzerland

In order to be eligible for the grant, both the performer and the event organiser must have a preliminary commitment to the project.

TelepART is supported by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture.
