TelepART-Science is intended for early and mid-career researchers for business trips from Finland to German-speaking areas, and vice versa. The grant covers travel and accommodation expenses, for instance to seminars or conferences, where the applicant has an active participatory role as a speaker, member of a jury or committee or similar. The grant can be applied by researchers from any academic disciplines, working at universities or research institutes in Finland, Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
Researchers will be evaluated by academic merit, the significance of the funding for the applicant’s professional and academic activities and the impact of the project on the quality and quantity of academic exchange between Finland and the specified country. The maximum amount that can be applied for is 1000€ and the grant can cover at most 50% of all costs. TelepART-Science applications will be evaluated and grants decisions made by the Finnland-Institut.
Returning applicants: Please note, that we can accept applications from the same person only every other year.
Awarding criteria
The application will be evaluated by the following criteria:
– Artistic/academic merit
– The significance of the funding for the receiver’s professional and artistic activities
– The amount of funding applied for and the budget balance
– The impact of the project on the quality and quantity of cultural/academic exchange between Finland and Germany, Austria or Switzerland
In order to be eligible for the grant, both the performer and the event organiser must have a preliminary commitment to the project.
